Boxing Ireland promotions and Tony Davitt promotions have announced their first show of the year, with ‘Celtic Clash 5‘ set for Saturday, March 24th, in Good Counsel GAA club in drimnagh, Dublin. They will look to build on a real breakthrough year in 2017 which saw them host the Celtic Clash series in the national stadium and really got the pro boxing scene buzzing again in Ireland.
So far confirmed for the bill are –
- Sallynoggin super-featherweight Stephen McAfee 2-0-1 (2 ko’s). McAfee was last in action on Celtic Clash 4 last month when he battled to a draw with Colin O’Donovan in what was one of the Irish fights of the year.
- Ballbrack lightweight Niall O’Connor 2-0 (1 ko) will also be in action as he continues his rapid progression up the domestic ladder
- While Crumlin lightweight Martin Quinn 2-0 (1 ko) will also be on the bill following his exciting, hard-fought points win on Celtic Clash 4 over Iago Barros.
