Bray’s boxing superstar Katie Taylor 7-0 (4 ko’s) makes the first defence of her WBA Lightweight title against Jess McCaskill 5-1 (3 ko’s) tonight in York Hall, London. Taylor has looked every bit the superstar so far in her fledgling pro career, and she marks another milestone tonight as she becomes the first female fighter to headline a SKY Sports show.
Taylor has had a meteoric rise this year and aims to end the year on a high –

I love the fact that I’m busy and in these big fights, I feel really good and I’ve had a great camp – I’m fully prepared for fight night. This is a great opportunity to end what has been a fantastic year for me on a high.
And Taylor recognises the challenge McCaskill brings but says shes more than ready –
“McCaskill will provide another challenge and I’m ready for whatever comes my way.
She’s a great fighter with good credentials, she’s tough, strong and is coming here to win, which is fantastic. I’m ready for whatever comes my way. Whatever she brings, It won’t be anything I haven’t seen before, I’m very much ready.”
