KO – Your back out on Fri Nov 24th on SK Promotions show, how has training gone?

VR – It’s great, im never out of the gym to be honest. After my last fight in October I only took 1 week off and I was back into it. I’ve been getting some great sparring in for this one, with the likes of Davey Oliver Joyce, Gary Cully and a lot of good amateur’s so im feeling really sharp for this one.

KO – Just on your last fight, I know you were disappointed not to get the stoppage. Looking back now, where you happy with the performance?

VR – Overall I was happy with it after watching it back a few times. I think I controlled the fight really well with good movement and distance. And I was happy to get the rounds in, but obviously a stoppage would have been great.

For this fight, im going to be a lot busier and throwing more combinations. My opponent was the same guy that fought Karl Kelly & Aiden Metcalfe, so it will be good to measure it against their performances.

KO – So, if all goes to plan, you’ll be 3-0 by the end of your first year as a pro. Looking ahead then, whats your plan for 2018?

VR – Il be back out with Red Corner in the new year, I want to get the 6 rounders out of the way, have a big domestic dust-up and fight for a Celtic title by the end of next year.

I’ve said before that I want to fight Sean Creagh, I think that would be a great domestic fight, and we both bring a lot of fans in. Why not put it over 8 rounds, or for a Celtic title. Im up for it, so if he wants it, let’s make it happen. We’re both fighting on November 24th in citywest so people can come ad compare our performances on the night, but that’s the domestic fight I want next year.

Id also just like to thank my sponsors – Fulfil Nutrition for their support.
