With another action-packed weekend in the boxing calendar, we look ahead to some of the best fights for fans to check out in our weekly preview – prediction article….
- Deontay Wilder vs Bermane Stiverne – WBC Heavyweight title
Wilder defends his belt against Stiverne who he fought back in 2015. Stiverne is the only man to go the distance with Wilder who will no doubt be looking to put on a good display and show he’s the man to beat in the division.
Prediction – Wilder wins by ko/tko – rounds 9 – 12
- Jamie McDonnell vs Liborio Solis – WBA Bantamweight title –
McDonnell is another man who’s out to prove a point this weekend. He takes on Solis again following his narrow and controversial points win over the Venezuelan last year. With Ryan Burnett really announcing himself on the world stage in the past year, McDonnell will need to retain his WBA belt if he hopes to land a massive unification bout with Burnett in 2018.
Prediction – McDonnell wins on points / unanimous decision
Also in action this weekend are –
Scott Quigg vs Oleg Yefimovich – WBA Featherweight Title Eliminator
Dereck Chisora vs Agit Kabayel – European Heavyweight Title
- Shawn Porter vs Adrian Granados – Welterweight bout
