KO BOXING

  • Billy Joe Saunders retained his WBO middleweight crown with a drab points win over Willie Monroe jnr in London on Saturday. He has been calling out GGG but will need a huge improvement to stand any chance against the middleweight king.
  • Lomachenko Vs Rigondeaux has finally been set for December 9th in New York. The bout between the two Olympic gold medalists will be at 130 pounds for Lomachenko’s WBO super-featherweight crown.
  • Callum Smith had to dig deep to get the win against Erik Skoglund on Saturday. Smith took on Skoglund in the opening super-middleweight bout of the World boxing super series. Smith claimed a unanimous points win and claimed the vacant WBC Diamond belt and moves on to the semi-finals of the competition
  • There were notable wins on the GGG-Canelo undercard for –  Joseph Diaz, Ryan Martin & Diego de la hoya.
  • Anthony Yarde & Daniel Dubois both claimed stoppage win on the Saunders-Monroe jnr undercard in London.
