Boxing News Roundup…

Ko Boxing 2

Pound for pound Ukrainian star Vasyl Lomachenko (9-1, 7 KOs) stopped Colombia’s Miguel Marriaga in the 7th round and made a third impressive defense of his WBO super featherweight title at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. A potential bout with Mikey Garcia will hopefully be lined up within the next year

Tim Bradley has retired from boxing. In a week where we have seen Wladimir Klitschko & Juan Manuel Marquez call it a day, Bradley has decided to hang up his gloves. The former two weight champion has given us some memorable fights over the years, including his war with Ruslan Provodnikov and his trilogy with Manny Pacquiao

Irish amateur star Eric Donovan (4-0, 3 ko’s) fights for his first pro title when the kildare featherweight takes on Dai Davies the current Welsh champion. The Sept 9th bout will be for the Celtic featherweight title in the National Stadium, Dublin.

Ray Beltran didn’t score another highlight knockout Saturday night, but he beat Bryan Vasquez by majority decision over 10 rounds. Beltran out-worked Vasquez over 10 rounds to win on two of three scorecards in a lightweight bout. He remains in the mix for some big fights at lightweight.
