KO –  first of all, congratulations on the pro deal, was it always an ambition of yours to turn pro?

Colin – ” Ever since I started boxing it was all just in preparation to turn pro. I never really considered the amateurs as a place I wanted to shine but more as a training ground to practice my skills for the pro game”

KO – And how much of a factor were Boxing Ireland Promotions in your decision?

Colin – ” Well, I had made my mind up to turn pro a long time ago, but hearing about boxing Ireland promotions got me excited about the fact that there was an up and coming Irish promotional group that could help me achieve my goals”

KO – looking ahead, your pencilled in for your debut on sept 9th in the national stadium, for boxing fans not familiar with you, how would you describe your style?

Colin – ” I’m an exciting and unpredictable fighter who is always willing to put his heart on his sleeve to get the win”

KO – And what weight will you be fighting at?

Colin – ” I had planned to fight at super bantamweight but Im willing to fight at any weight that I can get a fight at. Whether it’s featherweight or heavier, il take on anyone”

KO – And have you started into training camp yet?

Colin – ” at the moment im just working on sharpening my skills and doing a lot of pad work ”

KO – Ok, and after sept 9th, whats the plan then for the year ahead?

Colin – ” To fight as often as possible in the most hostile territory ”

Colin looks like another great addition to the Irish pro ranks, and with his exciting style there’s sure to be a lot of interest in his debut fight.

Colin is due to make his pro debut with Boxing Ireland Promotions on Sept 9th in the National Stadium Dublin.
